The 1916 Exhibitions Tour is a day tour visiting numerous 1916 exhibitions in Dublin. Every year the Slieve Bloom Association hosts an Annual Tour. As this year marks the Centenary of the 1916 Rising, the Slieve Bloom Association are hosting a 1916 Exhibitions Tour on Saturday 17th September.
The bus will depart Kinnitty at 8:30am with further pick-up points in Cadamstown 8:45am, Clonaslee 9:00am, Rosenallis 9:15am, Mountmellick 9:20am and Portlaoise 9:30am. The tour will stop for refreshments at Newlands Cross before the first exhibit.
1916 Exhibitions Tour
The first exhibition venue on the tour will be Revolution 1916 at The Ambassador, followed by lunch. The tour will then visit the GPO Witness History exhibition on O’Connell Street. The final exhibition on the tour is Proclaiming a Republic: The 1916 Rising at Collins Barracks. The group will stop for dinner before leaving Dublin.
